Are We On Foreign Soil?

Philip Mann raises good point below. His comment reminds me, as a Vet in my military training, that in a militia envioronment, if you are captured by the enemy, the only information you are to provide is your name, rank, and serial number, and nothing more under the Geneva Convention.
Has the U.S. Supreme Court now required more of its non-criminal U.S. citizens who find themselves the victim of an inquisition by their government to provide more information to their government than if you were captured in a foreign country, or on the high seas? ("Inquiring government minds want to know.")
And further, if one is a foreigner captured by the police on American soil, can they limit their response to, "My name is Itwo Zobraky, I am a citizen of Zimbabwe, I have no serial number, and I do not have to give you any further information based on the Geneva Convention?" Very interesting thought, Philip. Thanks. Any one wish to comment on this thought?
