 SANTA ANA – A federal Judge Gary L. Taylor ruled Wednesday against thousands of Orange County Jail inmates, potentially ending a class-action lawsuit that alleged they were treated unfairly and tortured while in custody.
In his 14-page ruling, Taylor acknowledged that "there is room for improvement" in the jails but said the torture presented in court fell short of breaking federal and state laws. http://www.ocregister.com
Liar in the assistant Sheriff Geroge Jaramillo and Erica Hill case, Sheriff Mike Carona said the decision confirms the caliber of his employees using reasonable torture.
