MEMBERS NOT ALLOWED SPEAK UP ABOUT RACISM AND CORRUPTION; ONCE AGAIN, OEC CONTROLS MEETING!
It shouldn't shock anyone on how the meeting went tonight as over 100 members showed up to voice their opinions and to recall the board. When issues were brought up on the corruption OEC stepped in and threatened the parents that the board would walk out of the meeting and declare the meeting adjourned!!!
"I thought about how Kurt Winn called us "NIGGERS" and "COONS" and wanted to express my dissatisfaction against him and for the board not censuring him for his racist comments, but the meeting was clearly tainted" said one parent.
Another parent asked the Board why Coach Bubba's Daughter was banned from cheering, and the board threatened to walk out and ultimately Nacho answered the parents and he said that they felt it was better for the league by not allowing her to cheer, the parents booed Nacho! Time after time when the members tried to bring items up about the corruption and Kurt's racism, OEC was there to stop the onslaught of questions. This time the members witnessed first hand what the board and OEC are doing to Santa Ana. Coach Flores presented a motion on the floor to form an Ad Hoc committee to explore charges of the corruption and OEC and the Board ignored and denied the motion!
Becky Esparza personally threatened that if the board is removed, OEC will ban Santa Ana from Pop Warner this season and revoke its charter! The Representatives in attendance couldn't believe the members were ignored and they will pursue action against Santa Ana Pop Warner. Copies of the LA Times article was passed out and the parents were infuriated beyond belief as they were ignored by the Board and refused the floor to speak against the corruption.
The Board spent $10,000 on opening night ceremonies and the parents were also infuriated because of the condition of playing equipment that the money could have been used for, but instead chose to spend the money as they stated they wanted to use more money and will dip into it even more. Coach Barnum, who was quoted in the LA Times article about Kurt being a racist called Melissa on the carpet about what she said to Coach JD in insulting him about being a child predator and she admitted it and had a barrage of boos! This subject was also quashed by OEC!
We have received emails directly from Presidents who expressed their sincerest wishes in hoping we resolve our issues with the board, and as always, we have promised to keep their names and email addresses in the strictest confidentiality because if OEC found out they would be attacked by Sherman and his band of thugs!
